Gridlocks

I was taking a walk a moment ago and I met this terrible gridlock. I was so happy I decided to make the short journey on foot. There was chaos everywhere, no one had the faint respect for who had the right of way. Everyone was in a mad rush to get somewhere and the traffic light was of no use.

This also happens in our life. Especially when we have so many things we need quick wins for. Every bit of these ideas and questions demanding our time and attention. Yes, gridlocks can also exist in our life. And does not matter how much  we try to wish them away they will come sometimes. They can come from our set objectives clashing with our work schedule or normal family routines. They can come from emotional ties that needs some nurturing and tending. They exist everywhere around us for one reason or the other and one evidence they leave in their trail is disorder, mistakes, accidents, hate and flayed tempers.

Gridlocks in our life leaves us vulnerable to things we could ordinarily manage and leaves the cool and gentle looking individual in a fit and rage. Yes, these come with the terrain. So you see, we must find a mid ground with gridlocks. And here are some thoughts

1. Gridlocks don't just happen - they are evidence of disobedience.
2. Procrastination is a very veritable breeder of gridlocks.
3. Planning is the only panacea to this malaise.
4. Gridlock can just happen.

The key thing to note and do is that, we don't lose the plot. Talking about the disorder we opened with here, by the time I was returning a few minutes later, you would not believe it, everywhere was cleared. And it took a little of order, patience and planned options. These are the solutions we also need in our own gridlock. It's not rocket science, it's just you been driven to free yourself from the entanglement. It comes at some pain, but the good news is that it is only for a while.

Do you think we can add some thoughts on which other way one can handle gridlocks. Lets hear your perspective.

Nugget: Nothing can seize the moment if we don't give that leverage.  Take charge, start with the cobwebs in your thoughts

  2. There have been a couple of moments in my life that i have experienced some gridlock situations, the steps that helped me are not far fetched from your points. At the very beginning i was so afraid, hopeless, weak and confused that this gridlock was never going away. All this negativity beclouded the strength in me to find a solution. Many are times when we are faced with serious gridlock in our life, the first step is to stay calm, and reach deep into the inner strength.By doing so we find out that the situations are not as bad as it actually looks, then we can begin to apply strategies that will get us to the next stage. This as easy as it sound might not be an easy step to take, because it will require you to fight against yourself and discover the will power in you,but one thing is certain and that is the fact that you can do it.

  3. This is an absolute deliverance to people caught up in this. Gridlock can be frustrating and could even lead to depression if not properly managed.

    Thank you for this.
