Leadership is Influence

Leadership is often presented as a collection of things.

Discipline.
Strategy.
Patience.
Risk management.
Mindset.

Useful things. Necessary things.

But perhaps they are not leadership itself.

They are what shape the leader.

The real question is what happens after that.

Does your discipline make others more disciplined?

Does your patience give others the courage to endure?

Does your strategy give people clarity?

Does your approach to risk make people braver without making them reckless?

Does your mindset enlarge what people believe is possible?

That is where leadership begins to reveal itself.

Because leadership is not simply about what you carry.

It is about what your presence causes others to carry.

Perhaps that is why leadership is not merely common sense.

It is the revelation that influence is the evidence.

You may have authority without influence.

You may have a title without leadership.

But when people begin to think differently, act differently, grow differently and see further because of your influence,

you are no longer merely leading.

You are leaving something behind.

Nugget: Leadership is not measured by what follows you. It is revealed by what becomes possible in those you influence.
