Now & Always

Love has been so underrated

Many do not find its meaning all through life

Some will never know it is a harbinger of peace

Neither will others find it reverberates in truth

The fruit it bears are the services it prompts us to

The glow it summons is a story only our hearts can spell

Perhaps we need to pause and then take a breathe


Love rides on smiles

It gives our heart music

It makes us to sing

Whispering in words that only linked souls can fathom

We look into its eyes and find softness

We share its flames and are kept warm

There is none to tell why we can go so unrestrained

Maybe we need to stall and exhale


Can anyone hate love

Can it be unreal

Can it break us

Can we undo the pains it causes

Why do we bear false witness to this story of our life

For we all are fragile

We all can break

Yet we can chose to love

Since Love envelops the whole of us


And now of Love I intone

Could anything be so magnificent

Is there any that can withstand your strength

Oh Love that our mothers showed by smiling at pains for us

Yes Love that Daddy accepted by catering for our needs

Hmm Love that couples bear by accepting one another

Love that made the homeless share his bread with the hungry

Again Love that conquers all things

Love that makes fear quake with envy

And Love that I have now and always

We can stall

Even exhale

Perhaps we may chose to pause

And yet breathe

Still, I will chose you Love

Indeed you share with us glory and honour
