On Love and Silence

Love is one of life’s most guarded treasures. Many experience it deeply yet find it difficult to speak of, not because it lacks weight, but because its beauty often feels too sacred to share. Its stories are not always straightforward, carrying curves, pauses, and depths that make them both simple and profound.

When we let memory guide us, it often finds for us colours in our heart like tales of the lotus. They speak of a search across many places, yet they also whisper of a rest we have found in seasons hidden in the bowels of our hearts.

Yet, the strangest side of love is loving in the rain: hidden in plain sight, yet unseen. And this is where the many pains we feel as a product of love find their origin. For how can one love, and keep that love in embers unspoken? How can one cherish deeply, and still remain unknown, when the story itself is left untold?

Perhaps this is beyond love. It may be about the trials we carry with equanimity, about victories we never declare. It is the story of journeys taken, of paths still unfolding, of experiences that will never reach another’s ears.

Love is like that. Beautiful, but elusive when woven into words. Sometimes, the telling melts away like mist. And still, it remains the quiet fullness of a heart kept, and a story guarded.

Nugget: Love does not lose its truth in silence. Even when unspoken, it fills the heart and shapes the soul.
