Rise Above the Challenge

Often, life gifts us not what we deserve nor produce. It deals us everything but not what we should and deservedly have. At those turns, we are shocked and yes, dismayed.

The most important events in our lives are marked with very interesting landmarks and landmines. It would seem that everything is set up to buffet us. The laughter around us could even seem mocking and the nudge more of a push to death. It is just us against the world - our world.

It is easy at those turns to jump at these 'excuses' and explain away. Well, there are a lot of them to cling to - so much to put out as the basis for where we can reach and what we cannot do. Who would not? And why should one not? This is even more so when you have seemingly done everything at least in your estimation to make the finish line. Those unwarranted attacks, that demotion, the broken heart, the flying spears and giants are not your making after all. So it can be explained.

Yes! You are right, the obstacles in our paths are not our making, and we should get the deserved results for the work done. Yet, have you considered that in everyman's paradise, giants abound and that the stakes are higher as you get close to the end of a race - especially if you among the front liners.

So what keeps you on at such times? Is it the thought of the prize? Or your understanding of the "No pain,  No gain" cliche? Could it be that you just soldiered on because there was no other option nor alternatives or your support system was strong and enough to tide you through the maze? Well, growth and difficult has some sort of analogous, and we seem to well up strength in adversity than in bliss. And perhaps the awful truth that adversity builds character could just be the driver for us.

Yet, one lesson that we must learn is that - no matter what life throws at us - we have ALWAYS got a CHOICE. And its either we are going to allow the obstacle sling us in the direction of not continuing our journey to becoming that person of our dream or we learn to stay the cause albeit the difficulties.

Nugget: The road may seem tortuous and fraught with thorns, yet does perseverance pay. Just soldier on, not swallowed by the mist and ferried by the wind around and before you. Simply Rise Above the Challenge
