This Early?

Three days into the year and I am at a crossroad for my actions and inaction. I am so at a loss over how I can last the year if one is already falling so soon. This is not some hypothetical story, it's fluid and it's running. So what do you think is my problem?

 The reality is that we are always faced with the challenge of failing at the slightest test. If we falter, does it mean we are indiscipline  or are not just stepping up to the plate. Yes you want to say to me that it's okay as nothing is automatic and perfection is  an ideal. And I will disagree. We fail like in my case when we get complacent and feel we got everything about and around us covered. It does not work like that and never will.

Does it mean I should become a rigid person and impassioned just because I have goals and targets set for me. Oh you say we work towards perfection, yet you say it's an ideal, hey friend It means you are working towards something that can never be achieved, that I believe is totally not the case with God's plan;

You see most things that challenge our resolve to do things, whether resolutions or whatever you call it is actually is failing to have fail safe that would trigger or actuate varied reactions we must have put in place to keep us in check. See, every decision needs watering, and tendering. The decision alone will not run itself, when you decide like a project manager and you initiate a process, you must then plan how to bring about that endeavor. The execution must be tempered with a clear command and control mechanism which should be a closed loop and never ending, yes we must put ourselves on  check.

Again the fact that one tries to stretch things that we should immediately turn from is actually a good basis for setting oneself up. We can never get results that we want when we fail to follow clear norms. This might sound restrictive, yet we must learn to master a thing first before we attempt to innovate. Don't play with fire it burns and it was terrible learning this bitter lesson in the last few hours. So how do I COPE?

Be prudent, yes prudent not simple. Do not work in the counsel of the ungodly, learn to stay in the light of the revelation that closing that resolve will bring, don't focus on the pit falls when they occur, dust off, do your postmortem and stay committed. There will be need to refine your goal, your schedule might alter, there are competing demands like every process would have. So if you want quality, you must stay within the cost that you can contain, plan and use your resource wisely including your relationships; create timelines and most importantly never lose sight of the goal.

Yes I failed and seriously so, yet I am up again and resolved to run this race to the finish line. What about you?

Nugget: It could break you to fail, yet it helps us to see we are not superhuman after all. In this year run with everything in understanding. You cannot fail

  1. Failing without trying or trying and failing?

    The first is no good. Nothing to build on.

    The second is better. You can learn from the experience and make progress.
