Learning New Lines

Our lives can take a dive for worlds unknown when love goes wrong. It's a matter that drills into our very being and saps our strength. Work becomes torture, smiles are faked and life just comes to a standstill.

Emotions are very much of our lives, so there is no gainsaying that if we pretend not to be affected by it we are just living in some detached world. How that can be possible is very contestable and also as real too. Truth is that, for every individual, our ego mixes with our desire and produces a lethal concoction that if we don't apply wisdom can set us aflame. Human passion is often driven by wants and needs that carry varied meaning and impact, thus it is very important to create a balance to ensure that while we vent this part of us, we stay sane too.

The challenge we often face when our relationships and marriages go amiss is not one that can be easily contained with words, so I will not even bother going there. Yet suffice to say that the main ingredient of the loss we feel when we are hurt or rejected is really drawn from a mixture of our passions and illusions. We booster such pains because we fuel the scenario, we hold on to the memories and keep replaying them in our hearts. We seize every opportunity to try and rewrite each leaf of our story and want to turn back the hand of time. Yet my friend that is where I would ask you to STOP!

Yes, you must stop this harm you are doing to yourself. This life is too simple to be complex, but it cannot be handled simplistically. Prudent application of ourselves is always and will remain the best form of defense we can pose to the stuff we encounter. If you need to cry over your loss, do go ahead, but you must also learn that there are new lines to be mastered. To begin with, confusion will not help you, so you must work as difficult as it is on clearing your mind. Your sanity is key. While at that, you must also pour out your heart, don't keep it in. Take one step and a time to heal, don't ever pretend nothing happened, that will be a wrong way to approach this situation. You also need to surround yourself with enough love, don't go crawling and seeking for succor immediately for only complete people can provide the balance needed to make human relationships work. Then, finally just know you existed before what happened, while it will be difficult to stay steady again, you can be sure you will always find peace if you truly desire it. This is true in love as it is when we fail or miss a target. Don't be too hard on yourself, there is always another window to undo today's pain if only you will learn to stay alive to see tomorrow.

In the poem outlined below, we enter into the life of a poet and his description of the confusion that sets in with a confused love.
One Poetry

Just one poetry
My ink is almost gone awry.
Just one poetry
Your silence is killing
Just one poetry
Smiles were never this prompting
Just one poetry
Words are failures at the moment
Just one poetry
I fear to hear your 'no'
Just one poetry
Could life be yet so short?
Just one poetry
I want to dream no more
Just one poetry
Of love and my little head.
