When I was in my final year studying for my bachelor’s degree, I stopped at home briefly on my way to an excursion with my fellow finalists. My mum was on a call with my aunt, who had already been told that I was about to graduate. When the phone was handed to me, my aunt asked about my graduation plans and how much I needed for my party.
It
felt like a golden opportunity, and she even affirmed that she would gladly
cover the cost. But I told her I wasn’t keen on a party. She was surprised and
asked why not, and what I would rather do instead.
I
told her I was more interested in developing my ICT skills, and what I truly
wanted was a laptop to help me learn and grow. She simply said, “You’ll get
it.”
And
she kept her word. A week later, I received a brand-new Pentium 4 laptop. I was
overjoyed. That laptop didn’t just make me happy; it became the foundation of
my journey into the world of information technology.
Interestingly,
I still ended up having a wonderful graduation celebration.
But
beyond that, the story reminds me of something deeper: I had already been reaching for what I got. The truth is, only one with vision receives provision.
Don’t feel boxed in by expectations; dare to dream and desire beyond the
obvious. From the depths of your vision, life will find a way to deliver what
truly aligns with your purpose.
Nugget:
Vision is the quiet magnet of provision. Life does not give by chance but by
clarity.
