Be Love, Be Filled

Many times, we are faced with that part of ourselves that wants to share the best of who we are with those we love. We give, we show up, we express, yet somehow it is not always seen. It becomes a circle of wanting to share, seeking the reaction that validates our actions, hoping for that meeting of minds that keeps us in glee.

The more we search and pursue those ends, the farther they seem.

The truth is, much of what we do in those moments is not entirely for the benefit of others. It is often for what we seek within, for ego, for pride, and sometimes for ourselves. But what is this hubris about? Why do we see life so often through the lens of give and take? Must there always be a price, a value, a return for everything we give or enjoy?

Where is the place of love not being a trade? Where is the space for giving simply because love is what we are made of and what we are meant to live by?

There is so much we lose when we live on the lane of transactions. Just live. Not for validation. Not for the applause that comes with acknowledgement. Love, because in the heart of us all lies a void that only love can fill, not for others, but for us.

Be you.
Be love.
Be filled.

Nugget: The heart finds rest not in being seen, but in being sincere.

  1. Hmmm,
Honestly, genuine giving comes with fulfillment and there is this pure joy that comes with giving without too much expectations or reactions.
But most times, reactions determine the extent of this giving ooo.
    Not necessarily for validation

    1. @Ella, it is true that reactions are key drivers for the extent to which we will give. Yet as you pointed out, genuine giving gives a fulfillment that nothing compares to
