Worth My While

So I spent the last few days’ stock taking, looking into the last one year and wondering if a lot of things had been worth it. The late nights spent to achieve a goal, the things I had to give up to get more important things done, the lives I was able to make a difference to, the time spent with families and friends, the savings I could have put away for festivities later, the reduced or extra quantities of food that could have made me loose or add weight, the traffic I could have avoided by simply staying put at home and the people who God sent my way to bless me.
It’s good to take a moment and appreciate where you are. You might not be where you hoped to be, but surely you must realize that you are not where you used to be and be thankful. You are on route, you are on a journey, making progress and pressing ahead. Everyone’s journey is different. The seeds you plant today determine the harvest you get tomorrow and while some seeds take longer to yield a harvest, its growing daily and you must water it while you wait.
So how then do you determine if something is worth your while? Does it bless someone, would it make a difference, does it change anything. Eating “Pomo” may not have nutritional value but some still love it all the same. What do you consider as “worth your while?” some could say as long as it brings money its worth my while.  Time spent can never be gotten again and mostly what we have are the lasting memories.  Some things might not look much but never judge a book by the cover. It might not look it at the cover page but you could just learn a thing or two that would set that thing you have been waiting for in motion. Sometimes just giving something just a little extra attention could make a difference.
So as we journey onwards into the year, do take out time to appreciate where you are. All things are working together for your good and getting better by the day.

Nugget:
Do not look at the work or how big or much it is. Just take baby steps daily. You will be surprise at the leap you have made.
