MidWay

It’s been six months since we talk about FirePower (See Here) and we discussed the need for ‘Oil for the road’(Read It Here). Today, we open a new chapter to the running year and while we want to do a post mortem, we also want to enhance the gains of the year and push the frontiers. So its Mid-Year and I wonder if your light is still aglow. What has happened to the many resolutions, promises and agenda you set out to meet. Where are you on those important milestones? Have you finally beat your demons to submission or you are still on a managing streak. Perhaps it is a done deal - you have given up on trying.
You see, that little effort you have been on to will not produce the desired effect just like that. it has to be consistent, it has to have 'you' written all over it, Yes, it can only be fruitful with the toil from your blood. And who would want to run a race they do not believe exist. So friend, your faith is critical to the leverage you will get from those baby steps. You must believe in your ability, not minding the results that seem so disheartening presently.

Aha! Perhaps you have been on a roller coastal and it’s been all smiles, hey we need to helm it in and ensure the year also ends on a high note. So where have you been, how did you reach that height? What did you have to sacrifice? I tell you this, now that you are here, the work ahead is even more onerous. You must remain a high flyer and that will take more than what brought your here. So be prepared to task yourself and demand more from you.

Most importantly, you need more firepower, and your oil must not run dry. You need to burn oil for the fire to burn brightly and that means you must learn and be open to learning continuously. Your culture must be to be ever open to ideas. A man that learns never grows old for he is fresh in and out of season. Reason is the basis for many failures, yet, it is the foundation for staying profitable.

Don't quit now, for the remaining half of the year can remedy and better the gains and failures of the first part. The beauty of our life is that, there is always room for improvement. Be careful for nothing, just go out there and excel. Welcome to part two of 2015

Nugget: Snails might be slow, but they make progress with time. You are no snail, so if anything, you will make progress in good time, just believe and remember, we shed to grow.
